WHAT HAPPENED?
Tuchel insisted England "must do better" after Friday's 2-0 win over Albania, during which they struggled to regularly break down stubborn opposition. But the German accepts he and his players must adapt to each other before expecting spectacular results.

Tuchel has often spoken about the lack of training sessions with his new team between now and the 2026 World Cup and has imposed a "crash course" on his players this week. He has been clear in demanding a physical, direct style that replicates a typical Premier League team.

Speaking ahead of Monday's clash against Latvia, Tuchel said: "I need to adapt to the rhythm of international football. The challenge to prepare in three days – with 20 players from 10 or 12 different clubs – one idea of football. I'm not the most patient guy in the world when it comes to that but I will learn and push the players."
